A wide variety of tasks and exercises (at different level of difficulty) provides numerous opportunities for developing pupils' linguistic skills - reading, listening, writing, speaking.
A particularly relevant selection of texts, reflected in a variety of genres and 'additional materials' - historical and contextual references, articles, letters, quotes - all provide further useful and explanatory information to the main literary text.
Questions and tasks link issues and problems of the past depicted in literary texts with present times and make them relevant for today.
