The 2020 BELMA competition is closed. Thank you to everybody who participated despite the difficult situation.
We are very pleased to announce that even during the Corona crisis, there was a very good turn-out. Close to 40 products from 19 different publishers from 14 countries have been entered.
As usual, categories 2 and 3 are the most popular but there is also a good mix of products for categories 1 and 4. The topics covered are broad, from mother tongue to foreign language, from chemistry to religious education.
And as in previous years, almost all titles have digital components - if they are not completely digital already.
The crisis has forced the organisers of BELMA to change quite a few of the procedures. This year is the first year all products were submitted digitally. It's also the first year that the evaluation process has to change sligthly. But the jury is as committed as always and is looking forward to evaluating all products.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to have a physical ceremony this year, but we are planning a virtual conference/presentation at the same time as usual on October 14th. The precise time and duration will be announced closer to the date.
The shortlisted titels will be announced at the end of July.
Of course, all the winners will receive their full marketing package in digital form as well as their trophies by post.
With best wishes
Chairman of the BELMA jury
