BELMA Newsletter 2019 No 1
We hope you had a good start to 2019. This year's BELMA competition is open as of today, and we are looking forward to seeing your new and exciting products for the 2019 competition.
The Best European Learning Materials Awards (BELMA) competition, co-organised by the Frankfurt Book Fair, by IARTEM (the International Association for Research on Textbooks and Educational Media) and the EEPG (European Educational Publishers Group) is open to all educational publishers in Europe.
Last year, there was a very even distribution in categories 1 - 3 with only category 4 lagging a little behind in the number of entries. Most entries consisted of a mix of media, print, online, apps, but there were also some really interesting novelty entries especially in the print section.
If in doubt about how to register, please refer to the description on our web site and download the How-to PDF before you register. Also make sure you have the title page and your favourite two page spread of your book (or the equivalent thereof if it is an online product) ready for upload during the registration process.
Please remember that the jury reads all European languages and alphabets, so you can hand in any type of material relevant for your country. We whish you the best of luck!
And as always - if you are in doubt as to which category to submit your product in, please let me know and I'll help to sort it out.
The 2019 competition is open from January 22. Please register by 15. 4. 2019. You can use this link to register.
