Shortlist for BELMA 2019 is published
the BELMA 2019 Shortlist has been published on the BELMA website.
In August, the BELMA jury meets for the final rounds of evaluations. It will be hard work for the eight international jury members because the BELMA competition saw a record number of entries in 2019 (we wrote exactly the same last year, so we must be doing something right).
28 publishers from 17 countries took part in BELMA, many with two or more titles, showing how diverse and comprehensive their portfolio is. 22 of these publishers are shortlisted with one, two or even three products. They come from 14 different countries.
A BELMA-2019-Shortlist-button that can be used for marketing purposes will be sent later this week to every publishing house that is on the list.
As usual, the chairman of the jury, Jean-Claude Lasnier, will inform the publishing houses with the winning entries at the end of August.
And we will also inform the shortlisted ones if they are not amongst the final winners. To keep it exiting until the last minute, the winners will only be informed that they have won, but not which prize!
So, if you want to find out more about the products and the winners, come and join us in Frankfurt at the award ceremony in October.
As every year, there will be speeches and happy winners, snacks and wine as well as inspiring conversations with colleagues from all over the world.
Save the date and place:
Frankfurt Book Fair, October 16th, 4.00 pm in hall 4.2.
